We might not be able to answer the deeper meaning behind what 1486 Labs stands for, but we can tell you what we value.

Our Story.

1486 Labs was founded back in October 2022 by Pitt Professor Andy Hannah and 4 interns. Our team has grown to over 10 individuals, staffed by interns and recently graduated professionals. We’ve conducted a lot of research over the years and have learned that data will be our next commodity bought, sold, and traded, and we believe that we have an opportunity to create a digital community to bring these buyers and sellers of data together.
